Rubbish Rebels publishes UK-focused guidance on zero waste living, low-waste habits at home, upcycling, composting and sustainable shopping. Everything here is written for someone starting out: which single-use item to swap first, what to do with a full jar of food scraps, how to buy in bulk without a cupboard full of duplicates.
The content is provided for general information. It is not professional advice tailored to your specific circumstances, and it is not a substitute for guidance from your local council, your waste collection service, or another qualified professional.
Where the site refers to a council rule, a product type or a method, it describes the general case. Rules and availability change, and your local situation may differ. If a swap affects what you put in a kerbside bin, check the council's own guidance before you change what you do.
You do not need an account to read anything here. There is no subscription, no payment and no membership attached to using the guide pages.

How updates are recorded
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of the page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Most updates are small: clearer wording, a new topic added to the list of what the site covers, or a change that reflects how collections and refill shops actually work now. If a change affects what you are allowed to do with the content, it will be written plainly rather than tucked into the middle of a paragraph.

No. Reading the beginner guides costs nothing. There is no membership, no paid tier and no checkout.

What if a guide disagrees with my council's advice?
Follow your council. Guides here describe the general case for UK households, while a council page reflects your actual collection service.

A single screenshot with a link back to the page is fine. A set of screenshots that reproduces a whole article is not, so link to it instead.
